| Objetivo |
•
To provide an approach to some printmaking techniques and to present
a brief history of Printmaking.
• To discuss how the knowledge
may influence the way one can appreciate prints/artworks.
• To make students notice
they are able to acquire new knowledge through English. This way,
accuracy will not be the focus in this course.
• To cause students to
develop fluency. The distraction created by the new topic to be
learned may provide an environment to release criticism, that might
limit the spontaneity of speaking caused by high levels of monitoring. |

A short discussion on the concept of printmaking.
• Techniques/categories
of printmaking:
• Woodcut, Etchings, Silkscreen,
Lithography, Monotype.
• Material and equipment
used in each category.
• The printmaking studio
and how to use it.
• Prints edition and numbering.
• How to keep the prints.
• Brief history of printmaking. |
