Normas Editoriais


Tradução & Comunicação - Revista Brasileira de Tradutores divulga textos (artigos, resenhas, notas e informações) relacionados ao campo da tradução (dublagem, estudos tradutológicos baseados em corpus, formação de tradutor/intérprete, história da tradução, interpretação, interpretação de língua de sinais, legendagem, lexicografia, lingüística contrastiva, teoria da tradução, terminologia, tradução de área de especialidade, tradução de multimídia, tradução e gênero, tradução e identidade cultural, tradução literária, tradução mecânica, tradução religiosa e bíblica) e da comunicação em geral.

Normas Gerais

1. Os textos serão submetidos aos Conselhos Editorial e Consultivo, e serão analisados atendendo à periodicidade da publicação. Caberá aos Conselhos decidir sobre a aceitação ou não do trabalho, e fazer sugestões relativas tanto à apresentação quanto às exigências editoriais.
2. Os textos recebidos para publicação devem ser inéditos e nunca terem sido submetidos a uma outra publicação. A Revista detém todos os direitos autorais sobre a edição dos trabalhos aceitos.
3. Trabalhos redigidos em português, espanhol ou inglês serão recebidos para publicação. Caberá ao Conselho Editorial aceitar trabalhos em outras línguas.
4. A Direção, a Coordenação e os Conselhos não se responsabilizam pelos conceitos, idéias e opiniões emitidas pelos autores.
5. Os originais poderão ser enviados por correio eletrônico ou em disquete, por SEDEX.
6. Cada autor receberá três exemplares da revista.

Normas para a apresentação do texto

1. O disquete (em processador de texto de ampla difusão) deve conter arquivo único, e ser identificado por etiqueta com nome do autor e título do trabalho. Pede-se que o autor mantenha uma cópia idêntica à enviada.
2. Os textos devem ter no máximo 20 (vinte) páginas (espaço duplo), em fonte Times New Roman corpo 13.
3. O texto deve conter o seguinte: título do trabalho, nome(s) do(s) autor(es), titulação e filiação, resumo e palavras-chave (em português/espanhol e inglês), texto, referências bibliográficas. As citações devem ser blocadas e separadas do restante do texto (corpo 10), com referência bibliográfica (autor, ano de publicação: páginas). As notas, indicadas com números crescentes sobrescritos, devem aparecer ao pé da página, no corpo do texto.
4. As referências bibliográficas devem estar de acordo com as normas da ABNT (NBR 6023), por exemplo:

IMPORTANTE
Ao enviar o trabalho, o autor deve, em folha à parte, fornecer os seguintes dados:
especificação da seção para qual encaminha o artigo; nome; endereço; telefone, fax; e-mail;
profissão e instituição (endereço completo e telefone). Os textos que não estiverem de acordo
com as Normas Editoriais serão devolvidos para que sejam feitas as devidas alterações.

Tradução & Comunicação. Revista Brasileira de Tradutores publishes articles, reviews, notes and other information pertinent to the field of translation. It presents material on such subjects as biblical and religious translation, contrastive linguistics, corpus-based translation studies, interpreting, domain specializations, dubbing, history of translation, interpreting, lexicography, literary translation, machine(-aided) translation, multimedia translation, signed language interpreting, subtitling, terminology, translation and cultural identity, translation and gender, translation theory, translator/interpreter training) and communication in general.

General Rules
1. Texts will be submitted to the Editorial and Advisory Committees which will evaluate them with respect to publication dates (issues normally appear in September, or in May when the CIATI conference takes place). The Committees decide whether or not to accept submitted articles and may make suggestions as to how they might be edited to make them more suitable.
2. Material submitted for publication must not have been published previously or have been submitted to any other publication. Tradução & Comunicação. Revista Brasileira de Tradutores retains the copyright on papers that are accepted.
3. Contributions in Portuguese, Spanish or English are eligible for acceptance for publication. The Committees will decide, on case-by-case basis, whether to accept material in other languages.
4. The Journal accepts no responsibility for ideas and opinions expressed by the authors whose texts it publishes.
5. Originals may be submitted electronically, or on diskettes sent by regular mail. Please use Microsoft Word or other readily-recognized processing software.
6. Each author is entitled to receive 3 copies of the issue of the Journal in which his/her text appears.

Rules for the presentation of the originals
1. Diskettes should contain only one file and be labeled with the name(s) of the author(s) and the title of the paper. Authors must keep an identical copy of the material they submit.
2. Articles must not exceed twenty (20) double-spaced pages, using Times New Roman - 12 font.
3. Material to be submitted must be prepared using the following sequence: title of the article, name(s) of the author(s), academic degree and affiliation of the author(s), abstract and keywords (in English/Spanish and Portuguese), main body of the text, references. Quotations should be blocked and separated from the rest of the text (Times New Roman-10), with attribution (author, year of publication: page numbers). Footnotes should appear at the bottom of the page, automatically prepared by the software in numerical series beginning with 1 and continuing without interruption through the end of the document.
4. References should follow ABNT (Associação Brasileira de Normas Técnicas - Brazilian Technical Standards Association) guidelines (NBR 6023), for example:

IMPORTANT
When submitting material, authors should indicate the following on a separate sheet: section
of the journal to which article is being submitted; author's name; address; telephone number;
fax number; e-mail; occupation and name of institution with which author(s) is/are affiliated
(full address and telephone number). Materials not complying with editorial policy will
be returned to the author in order to give him/her an opportunity to make changes
if he/she wishes to resubmit the text.
